Writing Images to Disks

To write an image file to a target disk or drive:

1. Open the disk image file.
2. Make sure that the target disk or drive is ready for writing.
3. Select the appropriate disk/drive from the Image > Write To menu.

After you confirm the operation, the Image Writing window appears and the writing process starts. This operation is not undoable; all data on the target disk will be erased permanently.

You can cancel the writing process by pressing the Cancel button. Note that when you cancel the writing process, the target disk or drive can become unreadable. Trying to access such a disk can lead to unpredictable results.

Note: Please do not mix up extraction of disk image content and writing of disk image to a disk.
