Undisker allows you to open files contained in disk images simply by double-clicking them, just as in Windows Explorer. You can also select a desired file and press the Enter key to open it.

When you double-click a file to open it, Undisker extracts the file to the Windows Temp folder, and then runs the program associated with this type of file. For example, when you double-click a .doc file, Undisker runs Microsoft Word to open it. If you double-click an executable file, Undisker extracts and then runs this file.

If you need to open large files, or open a large number of files, you must have enough free space on your hard disk. Otherwise, Undisker will be unable to open the file(s). Undisker erases its temporary files when it starts up and exits. If you encounter a problem with free hard disk space after opening a large number of files, you can close Undisker and restart it. This will cause Undisker to erase its temporary files and free the hard disk space it was holding.

Undisker also lets you view damaged files (displayed in red). Note that opening damaged files can lead to unpredictable results. For more information, see Working with Damaged Images.
