You are here: Undisker Homepage > Help: Opening Disk Image Files

Opening Disk Image Files

To open a disk image file, use the Open command from the File menu or drag a disk image file to the Undisker icon or window. Undisker supports the following disk image formats:

  • ISO (Images of compact disks)
  • IMA/IMG (Generic disk images)
  • IMG (HDCopy disk Images)
  • Clone CD (CCD/IMG)
  • CDRWin multisession CD (CUE/BIN)

For more information, see Supported Disk Image Formats.

When you open a disk image file, the Loading Progress window appears. You can click the Cancel button to stop loading. If you click the Cancel button during a loading, Undisker opens the disk image partially—it tries to display the image contents based on the already loaded data. This may be useful for previewing image contents without loading the image completely.

Warning: Working with partially opened images can lead to unpredictable results.
