Undisker - Open, Create and Extract ISO Files

A disk image utility that can handle ISO files - create, open, view and extract them.

Menu Commands

File menu

Open: Opens a disk image file. When you select this command, an Open File dialog appears, allowing you to specify an image file to open. For more information, see Opening Disk Image Files.

File Associations: Associates Undisker with ISO, IMA and IMG files allowing you to double-click these files to open them with Undisker.

Exit: Closes Undisker.
 

Image menu

Capture <Disk>: Captures an image of the specified disk. When you select this command, a Save As dialog appears, allowing you to specify a filename for the new disk image file. After you choose the filename, the Image Capturing window appears, and the capturing process starts. For more information, see Creating Disk Image Files.

Batch Capture: Captures a group of disks. When you select this command, the Batch Capture window appears, allowing you to specify the destination folder for the captured image files, the base filename and the number of digits to add to the base filename.

Write to <Disk>: Writes the currently opened image to the specified disk. When you select this command, Undisker asks you for confirmation and then starts the writing process. For more information, see Writing Image Files to Disks.

Butn to <Disk>: Writes the currently opened CD/DVD image to the recordable CD/DVD disk. When you select this command, Undisker asks you for confirmation and then starts the writing process. For more information, see How to burn disk image on CD or DVD media.

Extract To: Displays the Extract Files window, allowing you to extract the currently selected files and/or folders from the image file.

Image Properties: Shows the Image Properties window.
 

View menu

Show Folders: Shows/hides the Folder Panel.

Large Icons: Shows files as large icons.

Small Icons: Shows files as small icons.

List: Shows files as a list.

Details: Shows files as a detailed list.

FAT (long names): If the image file contains a valid FAT file system, this command shows the FAT files and folders contained in the image. If the image does not contain the FAT system, this command is disabled.

FAT (short names): If the image file contains a valid FAT file system, this command lets you see the FAT files and folders in the standard MS-DOS 8.3 filename format. If the image does not contain the FAT system, this command is disabled.

ISO-9660: If the image file contains a valid ISO-9660 file system, this command shows the ISO-9660 files and folders contained in the image. If the image does not contain the ISO system, this command is disabled.

Joliet: If the image file contains a valid Joliet file system extension, this command shows the Joliet files and folders, contained in the image. If the image does not contain the Joliet extension, this command is disabled.

RockRidge: If the image file contains a valid RockRidge file system extension, this command shows the RockRidge files and folders contained in the image. If the image does not contain the RockRidge extension, this command is disabled.

File Properties: Displays the File Properties window for the currently selected files and/or folders.
 

Help menu

Contents: Displays this Help file.

About: Displays the About box.

Register: Displays the Registration window. This window lets you buy the full version of Undisker and remove the time limit of the trial version. For more information, see How to Get the Full Version of Undisker.
