Creating Images from Disks
To create a disk image file:
1. Make sure that the source disk or drive is ready.
2. Select the appropriate disk/drive from the Image > Capture menu.
3. Select a filename and image format for the image file.
After you choose the filename, the Image
Capturing window appears and the capturing process starts. After the process
is completed, Undisker will automatically open the newly created disk image.
You can cancel the capturing process by pressing the Cancel button. Note that
when you cancel capturing, Undisker creates a partial image file. You can open
a partial image and view its contents. However, this is not recommended, because
trying to open files contained in a partial image can lead to unpredictable
results.
For more information about disk image types supported by Undisker, see Supported Disk Image Formats.
